hey, i'm kate!
lover of all things design
i’m a multifaceted visual designer who’s passionate about finding ways to improve products that we use everyday for a better experience. i’m a lifelong learner and love to connect with people who spend their time bettering themselves and the world around them.
i’m a mostly self taught designer, having come into the field in a somewhat untraditional way. after graduating with my degree double majoring in psychology and sociology, my first career steps left me missing something – creativity.
since then, i’ve been striving to work on more creative projects that flex my skills better. solving problems through research and visual design allows me to use the highly analytical part of my brain, as well as the creative side.
i’ve learned a lot of the processes, concepts, and theories of UX/UI design through reading, online trainings, and using my background in graphic/web design and psychology. i’ve always been a big-picture thinker, and enjoy working on products through their whole life cycle – ideation to development.

more about me
when i’m not working on design projects, i love spending time outside. i recently completed a nearly decades long goal of thru hiking the pacific crest trail, which started at the border of mexico and ended at the border of canada. spending time outside is vital to my mental health, and something i consciously make time for in my life. aside from that, i enjoy trying new recipes and baking elaborate desserts.
